Meet the Principal

Katy Collier began her time in education as a 1st grade teacher in 2005. From 2005- 2018, Katy taught 1st grade, kindergarten, preschool, 2nd grade, and served as the data/reading intervention teacher. After 13 years of teaching, in 2018, Katy moved into the principal role at Haines Elementary School, serving in that position until 2021. In 2021, Katy moved into the principal role at Brooklyn Primary, where she remains today, proudly serving the elementary school where she went to elementary school many years ago! Katy is married with three teenage children and loves spending time outdoors with her family.
